The Company Founder
Kathie Mattox started K. Mattox & Associates, Inc. in 1982 after spending 10 years in both domestic and international sales and marketing positions with large medical device companies including American Hospital Supply Company, 3M Company, and Zimmer.
In those early days, she recognized that companies developing unique medical devices were sprouting up and each could not afford to hire an experienced marketing person. K. Mattox & Associates began providing marketing expertise to those companies, each on a part-time basis.
The services of K. Mattox & Associates have greatly expanded over the last 25+ years providing strategic planning and marketing expertise to all sizes of medical device and tissue-engineering companies, and venture capital firms, too.
Additionally, Ms. Mattox has served as President/CEO of four start-up medical device companies and Vice President of Marketing for two additional companies. Most recently, she served as President of BioAmide, Inc., a company that invented tissue-engineered hair to treat male-patterned baldness. The assets of BioAmide were sold to Aderans, the world's largest company dealing specifically with treating baldness.
